Kamas & SIGNING TIME!!!
So I've been meaning to update this but man oh man, the ITP has gotten the best of me. Last week Roo & I went up to Kamas & went to Oakcrest & Dick's. Dick's is a local burger place in Kamas that Oakcrest staff members would eat at periodically, especially when it was your "floater" week (your week you had no girls). Well, last summer I didn't have a floater week & so we went to Dick's so I could experience it first hand. It was SO much fun & their marshmellow shake is delicious! We also stopped by Oakcrest & it was so enjoyable to walk around & reflect on all the amazing experiences.
I don't know if I've mentioned this but I'm applying for Oakcrest again & I'm applying for Assistant Director. I know that the Lord has a plan for me & I just hope that oakcrest is in that plan. I would love to serve him & the amazing girls again this coming summer.
Then after stopping by Oakcrest & Dick's, we took a pit-stop in Park City & did some shopping. I told Roo that I've never been shopping at the Park City Outlet Malls so she said it was a must that we went there. It was such a blast!

**SIGNING TIME**
I know a lot of my cousins are watching the Signing Time movies in their houses & I just wanted to tell you something really exciting. For one of my ASL classes we have to observe an interpreter so after much tribulation of searching I got an appointment to go to Canyon View Elementary & watch interpreters in 1st, 3rd & 6th grade. WELL...the deaf girl in 6th grade is LEAH! yes, the cute little girl from signing time. Oh man, I'm SO excited! I get to MEET her this Monday & I'm seriously so excited. Anyways, I'm tempted to ask her for her autograph but I don't think that's professional to do that haha, so I was thinking about secretly getting a picture of her. haha, we'll see how my plan goes.

One Republic Concert!

Yesterday Roo and I went to the One Republic concert up at Weber State University. It was so much fun! I've completely decided that One Republic is AMAZING!!! The concert was so great, definitely one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Here's a few pics from the concert. Enjoy!!! P.S.-they're coming out with a new cd in the spring! :)

Halloween Adventures
Anyways, then later that day I worked until 7 pm and then I came home & passed out candy with my mom. It was so much fun to see all the cute children and especially my primary kids. Ah, they are my favorite! Then Roo came over about 9 and she said she'd carve pumpkins with me if I carved out the guts of her pumpkin. I completely didn't mind. So we carved lovely pumpkins.

Apple Pie & Frosted Flakes
Already, everyone is probably why in the world i have this disgusting plate of who knows what. Well...low and behold, it's APPLE PIE! that's right! A couple days ago Beau brought home this huge slice of apple pie from this girl. My brothers & I were so excited to snarf it down with each other. However, the pie was cold and personally apple pie is so much better if it is heated up. So we all agreed & we warmed it up a bit.
Well, it got warmed up a tad too much & it was BURNING hot! Like you couldn't even eat it otherwise you'd lose you're tongue. Serious! So I brought out some whip cream & slabed it on top. It wasn't cooling fast enough (sometimes we just aren't patient when it comes to food) so Beau & I started mixing in the cool whip & wa-la it turned out looking like this. By the time we were done we thought it looked like throw-up so we didn't really eat it. However, Keaton came along & loved it. hahaha, he kills me! We left the pie on the counter & then later that night my mom came home and she's like "EWW! What is on the counter?! Is this throw-up?!" hahaha, we all just started laughing and had to explain what it really was. Oh man, we were laughing so hard. Definitely a good memory that I'll never forget.
Oh yes, and the Frosted Flakes story. Simply I'm in love with Frosted Flakes. I had them for breakfast everyday during the summer & they are 100% bliss! My dear dear friend friend Roo bought a HUGE box for me for my b-day & she also gave me this incredible photo album! LOVE IT! Anyways, I just wanted to publically express my love for Frosted Flakes. p.s-frosted flakes aren't complete without a little sugar added on top. That my friend is a MUST ingredient!

Lovely Weekend
FRIDAYFriday was another great day! During the day I had to work but later that night it was so much fun! Roo & I went to a Halloween
Party that was at Bubble's house. It was so much fun! As you can probably tell, she had a hot tub at her house & we (Rio, Roo & I) decided to get in the hot tub with our clothes on. We also tried to look like Santa Claus, can you tell? It was such a blast! Then when we would get out of the hot tub we would have steam coming off our clothes because of how cold it was outside. It was so much fun. There was also a fire at the party (which is prime for any Oakcrest gathering) & it was the best to sit by & get warm. We also roasted ego waffles, yet again & marshmellows as well. It was glorious! Then after we left the party we went over to Roo's and made divine hot cocoa and toast. It was a fabulous night, yet again!

THURSDAY
Roo and I went to the Hindu Temple that is located in South Jordan for my Humanities class. It was extremely interesting and the artwork there was incredible. The Priest told us to ask him any questions we might have had and boy did we have questions. In the temple there is a bunch of different statues and so I ask
ed him if they belive in multiple gods. He quickly said that they only believed in one god and that all the different statues represented all the different qualitites of their god. We learned other things such as: why india people have a dots on their foreheads, what things to give as an offering, what incense smells like and the list goes on and on. The temple was very pretty but man, we left the temple feeling like we were missing something so we went to the Jordan River Temple, which is only a block away & felt the Spirit so strong there. The church is SO true! After going to the temple we went over to Scott Brown's house & had a huge bonfire with a bunch of other people, including a bunch of Oakcrest girlies. OH I loved it! We roasted Ego Waffles and it was such a glorious idea. Roo, I loved it!

Wow, this week was quite the adventure. I basically had more lovely adventures & life couldn't get any better. This weekend was the the first time I was able time I was able to play and stuff because of my recent surgery. Anyways, Roo & I went to the Echo Dome and played in the fountain (which the picture is on the top right), then on Friday we went to the Gateway and played in the fountain. Oh man, that was prime! I loved it so so much! Roo
promised that the water was hot however, when the first show came on, the water was freezing! Yet, we still played in the fountain & got drenched. When the songs would end, we would run to the cement & lay there shaking. We were quite a funny sight. Then on Sunday, after General Conference, Roo and I went on a walk down the Jordan River Parkway. It was s
uch a funny experience because while walking down the trail we came in contact with a bagpipe man. He told us that he'd play us a couple of songs and then we recorded a few videos of him and then took a picture with him. We talked to him for a bit and he said that he had recently moved here from Baltimore. How cool is that?! We thought it was quite neat & Roo busted out singing the song from the musical Hairspray. Anyways, there's my weekend in a nutshell. Fabulous weekend, yet again.Monday, September 22, 2008
donut, donut & more donuts!
Then on Saturday I went to hike Donut Falls again with my friend, Eric & 2 of his friends from the U of U. You know the phrase "3rd times the charm"...well I'm bound to hike Donut Falls one more time because I hiked it twice within 2 days...
normal? I think not! It was a lot of fun though. I started raining on the back down and you can definitely tell that it is becoming fall. The mountains are looking absolutely gorgeous! Red, orange and yellow leaves are definitely increasing. I love it! Then later Saturday night, Roo & I went to our assistant director's
